NEWS - Solo Sailor's Dreams Shattered by Head Injury go

No mere toy for tooling around town, the Dragster is a muscle-car version
of the two stroke motor scooter, with hydropneumatic shocks and a
powerful liquid cooled engine that opens to 80 mph (with a bit of racing
modification). But there's an elegance to this hog: An under-the-seat hatch
stows your helmet, and the automatic clutch makes the scooter a breeze
to drive.

911 TURBO
Porsche Cars
North America Inc.
Here's a car that can be driven within the speed limit with no more demand on the driver than a Ford Taurus. Yet, when the Porsche 911 Turbo's 420 hp is unleashed in its full fury, the car screams from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and through the quarter-mile in 12 seconds flat. For those who need to know, top end is 189 mph. The water-cooled, twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat Six has 24 valves, variable-valve lift, and a torque curve flatter than Drew Carey's head. Peak torque of 413 ft.-lb. happens at 2700 rpm. Since the Turbo is the Porsche flagship, it's equipped with every known technology—viscous all-wheel drive, Stability Management, ABS and the available five-speed automatic/manual Tiptronic S transmission. Porsche's previous-generation Turbo won a Design & Engineering Award from us in 1996. As a no-holds-barred exercise in what a small engineering-driven car company can produce when price is no object, the 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo stands tall, and pretty much alone, and is certainly deserving once again. buy one get one free

Another innovation that we don't need.
Who you are going to sell this to? Terrorists? They will buy it right away. Mass murderers? They would love to have it both for pleasure and hunting. Why wood you need a gun that fires 180 bullets in less than one-hundred of a second, even if you are a Police Officer? Is technology supposed to work for Us or against ?. Write us your opinion.

A Chicago man drowned in Lake Michigan after falling overboard in rough water during a Chicago Yacht Club regatta Sunday, police said.

America's Cup Jubilee
On the Prada 12-Metre course, starting line collisions in two classes forced the withdrawal of four boats, including Intrepid, the last of the wooden Twelves, which successfully defended the America's Cup in 1967 and 1970. No one was hurt in either collision.

In the Modern 12-Metre Class, Intrepid steered by John Curtin collided head on with Enterprise, steered by J. F. Jouffray, causing extensive damage to the bows of both boats. Intrepid was the port tack boat and was required to steer clear of Enterprise.

Verve Cup 2001 Chicago.
Did you hear about the Bowman on the 40.7 that was knocked out by the spin pole (damn hot-box people). She was hit by the pole, turned to face the stern and said to her crew mate "your here to take over the bow right?" then went out like a light until the paramedics brought her to on shore. She was taken by ambulance to North Western Hospital, but here's the kicker, she was back the next day racing and working the bow. When asked why she came back the very next day to race her response was "It's my bow, that's what I do". Bow people are in a league of their own. I wish you must success with the web-site. Former bowman and still a bowman at heart.
