A Day of measuring and practice

Toronto, Canada - Heartbreaker's second day in Toronto started out with big
wind and on shore activities.  Since it was blowing close to Thirty knots
this morning the Heartbreaker team decided to take care of sail measuring
and other managerial details in order to have a little break and hopefully
keep the boat in one piece.

With all that sorted out the Heartbreaker team went out solo to look at
some of their new sails and get a little time to work on speed and crew
work.  The practice boat came out an hour later after the GM, Dave Jarvis,
tied up some lose ends for the program.

Once both teams were on the water they were able to get off a few full
practice races.  This was a good way to tie things together and prep for a
final day of practice Friday before the Openning Ceremonies.  Once back on
shore the bow stickers went on and a few final details were worked out.

Finally, to close the day the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club members, lead by
Annie Gammache set up a great barbeque for the Heartbreaker program.  A
great gesture and much apreciated by all that attended.  Also, thanks again
to Dave Jarvis who organized the site and grill.

One more practice day and then the Canada's Cup starts on Saturday
September 27th.  Stay tuned to www.canadascup.org or sailhead.com for up to
date information on the Canada's Cup.
